CDRC Deputy Director, Prof Alex Singleton, will be delivering a seminar on Human Dynamics and Urban Structure at the Urban Big Data Centre in Glasgow.

Abstract

Developing models of urban structure and human dynamics has a long history within geography and planning. In their contemporary form, geodemographic classifications represent complexity as a typology of salient characteristics, drawing measures relating to attributes and behaviours of population alongside urban morphology and context . This seminar will explore a series of advances in geodemographic methods and their application to issues of social concern.
