The Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRC) and the Centre for Spatial Demographics Research (CSDR) will host a joint workshop at the University of Liverpool on 23 June 2016.

The aim is to promote research collaboration links between academics and researchers  in relation to consumer data (CDRC) and population/demographic data (CSDR). The presentations will be related to consumer data modelling, and the projects we have been working on within CDRC such as e-resilience, click and collect, health club use, failed deliveries for online shopping. The event is aimed at researchers and academics with a keen interest in these fields.

This event explores connections between spatial demographics and consumer data. It will outline some of the ways in which data about consumers can be used to enhance our understanding of populations. It will detail the functions and research interests of the Centre for Spatial Demographics Research (CSDR) and the Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRC) and consider ways in which participants could make use of available resources or build collaborations with the Centres.

The event will be of interest to anyone interested in the possibilities offered by consumer data and specifically those who wish to know more about what data are available and what kinds of research is currently being undertaken using such sources.

There are three main aims of this event:

  1. To introduce the Centre for Spatial Demographics Research (CSDR) and the Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRC). The services offered by CDRC will be detailed, with a focus on datasets available to internal and external researchers.
  1. To summarise selected current research being undertaken in both centres and to explore the potential of data hosted by the CDRC.
  1. To explore possibilities for collaboration between CSDR and CDRC and between internal and external researchers.

The event is free but registration is essential
