About LARIA

The work of the Local Area Research & Intelligence Association improves lives and local areas through the use of local research, intelligence and policy.  They promote continuous improvements in the quality and impact of local research and intelligence. By promoting high standards and excellence in research, analysis and insight we ensure maximum impact in the delivery of high quality public service.
LARIA is largely a voluntary organisation with no permanent office or officers. They rely on the time and goodwill of members. We were established in 1974 and are a Specially Authorised Society under the Friendly Societies Act 1974.
